Educational Foundation
The Educational Foundation was established in 1888 and is one of the largest sources of private funding for scholarships or grants which fund educational programs or research supporting women and girls. One of our earliest grants was given to Marie Curie, a Nobel Prize winner.
This academic year 2009-2010, AAUW is providing more than $3 million for more than
200 fellowships and grants to outstanding women and nonprofit organizations. Our own
branch now has 5 fellowships which are generating 5 annual scholarships.
